Production and wine making
Indigenous grape from the Eastern side of the Appennino mountain range (Marche and Abruzzo, Central Italy). The bunch is small and elongated, with round, small berries, golden-yellow coloured when ripe. This Pecorino has a complex nose of citrus, yellow peach, hints of straw and white beer. Rich on the palate, it has good body and structure with a long finish. Good to drink as a young wine, but also suitable for a medium ageing in bottle, to better appreciate its mineral compounds.
Features of the wine
Straw yellow color, rather intense. On the nose, pleasant floral notes and hints of white peaches. The palate is fresh and harmonious with a good acidity that cleans the mouth. The balance between flavors and aromas closes long and persistent.
Food pairings
Pecorino complements seafood, pasta with light dressings, fried food, poultry. Delightful also as a sipping wine.
