Production and wine making

This wine is a combination between the generosity of the soil and the human experience that, together with the right cultivation systems and punctual harvesting time, allow to obtain this fine and elegant wine. The careful processing of the grapes, and the later step in small capacity barrels, for the fermentation and ageing, allow to preserve and highlight all the scents and the qualities of this wine.

Features of the wine

The wine has an intense yellow color with golden sparkles. At the nose it shows vanilla scents, and pleasant notes of fruit and ripe yellow pulp. At the taste, it brings out softness, well balanced with good structure, and the right amount of acidity that refresh the palate. The balance between taste and smell closes with long and persistent final.

It can be paired with the best fish dishes, but also with white meat and medium-aged cheese.

Production and wine making

Made of grapes of the homonymous vine variety. After the crushing, de-stemming and soft pressing, the must undergoes to a static cleaning, followed by the alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature activated by selected yeasts native. The second fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank, with a particular pressure condition, as it is required by Martinotti Method. It is then aged in stainless steel tanks for about five months before being bottled.

Features of the wine

Pale yellow color, it has a delicate nose, with hints of white flowers and unripen fruit.

Production and wine making

Donna Greta is the top white wine of Cantina Frentana and it is the most refined and prestigious made of Pecorino grape. It is vinified in stainless steel tanks, with indigenous yeasts and fermentation on the skins for 7/8 days, following “elevage” on fine lees for a year and a final aging in bottle for at least six months before being put on the market.

It is a wine of great body and structure, balanced by acidity and minerality typical of the grape, and so pleasant to drink; the aromatic complexity, ranging from citrus to wheat beer, has a long persistence.

Production and wine making

Grape native of central Italy, Abruzzo and Marche, possesses strong vigor, limited production and therefore high sugar content. The bunch, pretty tight, is medium-small, conical, with berry quite small, spherical, golden yellow, peel robust.
The vinification follows the processes specified for white wines, then immediately after crushing, de-stemming and pressing, the skins are separated from the must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures.
Cultivation of grapes, preparation and aging strictly follow the protocols of organic production, so no herbicides or pesticides and predominantly use of sulfur and copper.

The wine has a straw yellow color; an intense nose reveals nice citrusy notes and hints of yeast. The taste is like a fruity wine, balanced with good acidity that cleans the palate.
The balance between flavor and scent closes long and persistent.

Production and wine making

Autochthonous grape variety from the Adriatic side of the central Apennines (Marche and Abruzzo). Balanced vigor and production. The bunch is medium-small size, cylindrical and elongated, with small, spherical, golden yellow grapes with a strong and thick skin. The must, obtained from a soft pressing, is fermented at a controlled low temperature.

The wine as a medium intense straw yellow color. At the nose shows pleasant citrusy notes, honey, yellow peach and sometimes a typical beer scent. The taste shows a full-bodied, structured wine, balanced by a good acidity that refreshes the palate. Balance between taste and smell closes a long and persistent final.
