Production and wine making

Montepulciano grapes are processed with a limited contact between must and skins (about 12 hours) in order to give life to this Montepulciano Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC “Frentano”. The must is then slowly fermented at low temperature, around 13°C, to enhance the olfactory fineness. Following a period of aging on the lees, in order to make the wine more harmonious and persistent at the taste.

Features of the wine

The color is of pale red cherry; the smell is persistent and fruity; scents of berries are present. The taste is round, dry and pleasant.

Production and wine making

Made with grapes of the homonymous vine variety. After soft pressing, the juice is subjected to a static clarification; follows an alcoholic fermentation at low temperature activated by selected yeasts. It is then aged in stainless steel tanks for 4-5 months, with periodic agitation (lees stirring) of the lees before being bottled.

The color is pale yellow. The nose is delicate and fresh with hints of white flowers and yellow peach.

Production and wine making

Montepulciano 100%. After pressing and de-stemming, the fermentation is taken to 7-10 days, according to the age. Malolactic fermentation and aging are made in stainless steel tanks. Usually available at the consumption the summer after the harvest.

Features of the wine

The color is intense ruby red with purple nails when young. Scents of plum, summery red apple and violet. At the palate it shows a good structure and a full body, even if it is a wine of young and fresh nature. It is suggested to be drank within 2-3 years time.

It is a typical every-day wine, that is well paired to many dishes, such as legumes soups and pasta, red and white meat, and cheeses as well.
